Hey Global Warfighters!,
It’s been a long road since our hiatus, but I’m stoked to announce a major piece of our history is officially back online (as noted in our blog post).
The Legacy Leaderboards are Live
We’ve successfully restored the classic GWL leaderboards. Whether you were grinding ladders in 2005 or competing in our final tournaments in 2015, your stats, ranks, and history have been pulled from the archives.

While the gaming landscape has changed and many of these features are now “built-in” to modern titles, this data represents a decade of our community’s competitive spirit. It was important to all of us to get these back online before we look toward the future.
Browsing & The New URL Structure
Currently, you can browse the boards by selecting your game, then the ladder, and then the player for match history of that player… and from there you can select the player or team profile if you’d like. You might notice the URLs look a bit “technical” right now (lots of IDs and queries), but we’re actively working on a Permanent URL System.
Soon, every player, ladder, and game will have a clean, readable link like: mygwl.com/esports/game/ladder/player
What’s Next? (Search is Coming)
We know that clicking through lists isn’t the most efficient way to find your old profile.
Search Functionality: This is our current top priority. We’re building a dedicated search tool so you can find specific players or teams across the entire legacy database instantly.
The Future: Once the legacy data is fully searchable and the URL structures are polished, we can finally start talking about what new competition, tournaments, leagues, and ladders, will look like for the modern era of gaming. Keep an eye on the site blog for progress updates.
A Note on the Restoration
This is a labor of love. If you run into any broken links or weird database errors while poking around the old stats, please drop a comment in the forum, or DM me directly.
